BODY HIGH - FEATURE FILM

Body High is a feature film that I wrote, directed, and produced, it was set and filmed right in the heart of the original Venice "Emerald Triangle" the epicenter of the origin of the recreational cannabis movement.  The film focuses on a couple (Bug Hall and Mackenzie Mason) that own a struggling cannabis dispensary, they come across a new strain of cannabis that may just save them from their financial woes.

PRODUCTION OVERVIEW

"Body High" is a surreal comedy written and directed by myself and produced by Tuffy Williams, Lee Caplin and Lije Sarki.  The cinematographer was Seo Mutarevic who created a dream-like look to match the feel of the Venice underworld.  A specially modified Sony cinema camera was used to create a unique mood during the outdoor night shoots.  An original score was created by Oliver Goodwill and post-production sound and color grading was carried out by Yvan Gauthier.

NOTABLE ASPECTS OF PRODUCTION

One of the locations in the film was a working cannabis dispensary where real life customers were able to buy cannabis between takes.  There were a handful of notable cameos in the film;  frequent Adam Sandler collaborator Nick Swardson, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Flavor Flavor, Corey Feldman (playing himself) and Rapper Berner (frequent Wiz Khalifa Collaborator and owner of cannabis mega-brand Cookies).  The main cast members have all recently starred in high-profile TV shows for Netflix, History Channel, and Amazon to name just a few.
